Matboard cut

Simple is king when entering photo contests. A common request from professional and aspiring photographers is for a matted print to meet the specs of various competitions.

There are 2 common sizes, a 20×16 with an 8r image or 14×11 with an 8r image.

Trimming the final package

We print and mount the photo to a 5mm foamboard using a very sticky high grade adhesive, then cut a matboard from our basics range (Black, White, Off-white, Blue or Green) and mount that over the photo with our roller press. The end result is great for competition and short term display (without glass those flies and other icky insects do poohy things), light-weight and easy to freight. These are also popular for sending photos to family & friends so they can choose a frame.
